SERVING THE YOUTH OF THE INLAND EMPIRE
KIWANIS CLUB OF RIVERSIDE (KCOR) IS DEDICATED TO:
• Annually awarding thousands of dollars in scholarships
• Funding and endowing scholarships for RCC students
• Sponsoring youth Kiwanis clubs at UCR and local high
schools to help students learn about leadership, fellowship
and philanthropy
• The long term support of Longfellow Elementary School
(since 1992) with Holiday food drives; supporting partners in
the RCC “Starting Blocks” for no cost swim lessons to
elementary students from Longfellow and Jefferson schools
• Tutoring for elementary students on campus
• Riverside Art Museum’s “Art to Go” program on campus
• Support the new Cheech museum
• Provide playground spots equipment and shoes; a vegetable
garden on campus (Longfellow)
• Refurbishing used bicycles as incentives to support students’
perfect attendance and improving grades (Longfellow)
• Provide financial support and people power for the Meals on
Wheels program assisting seniors with nutrition needs and
fellowship
• Sponsor the Kiwanis Club of Riverside high school
basketball tournament in December, where high school
basketball athletes from all over the region compete
• Financially support many different organizations like Big
Brothers Big Sisters (Inland Empire); Riverside Arts
Academy; Riverside STEM Academy; Operation Safe House
(Riverside); Flabob Charter School and many others.
